$50K and a Call Girl: A Love Story (2014)

When Ross is diagnosed with terminal brain cancer and given six weeks to live, his newly engaged older brother Seth offers to spend his $50,000 wedding fund on a final trip of a lifetime.

You might be wondering what is $50K and a call girl?

It is a movie that had me full of emotion, laughing and having asked yourself what would you do with your life if you had 6 weeks to live. It's in incredible story and also wants to make you take a road trip of a life time despite the circumstances.

It had had its dark and happy moments.  This movie was excellent, but certainly won't be a main stream movie.

It is one of those films where its good to be open minded and give it a shot, everyone takes life for granted these days, it had me think to my self how thankful I am for a good life. At any moment it could be taken away in a blink of an eye.

I certainly recommend this awesome hand held documentary style film.

THE LONE SURVIVOR

Lone Survivor Poster

Lets see what's happening in the world of movies this week in "Lets SEE WHAT'S HAPPENING".

Mark Wahlberg hasn't been acting in the best or most memorable films in such a long time.
He was part of the producing team for Prisoners and Lone Survivor and his long time memorable show Entourage.

This time around Mark Wahlberg was apart of the breath taking film Lone Survivor.

The movie was based on 4 troops apart of the US Army in Afghanistan taking on the rebels.

The name Lone Survivor tied in towards the end of the movie when Mark Wahlberg was saved by a family living in the Afghanistan and hid the  american solider after his team was shot dead.

This time I think most people were actually routing for the US Army to survive about over 50 to 100 rebels shooting and firing rocket launchers when they are surrounded and literally had no way out.

Epic moments and shots were done great in slow motion and provided such real gruesome scenes.  It created great emotion and made you think about how war really is beyond what we just see on television. It makes you think what would you do in this situation of war.

Looking pass the camera work and editing, the scenes connect well do to the locations, everything is so realistic from costuming, the bloddy

makeup and design for all the wounds, The Score of the film to writing and execution of lines keep the pacing on your toes and engaging to only find out the bad guys will not go away.

This movie I would think has Oscar potential to be nominated for a great performance by all actors.  It maybe a surprise if the film doesn't win an award due to the fact USA praises WAR.
If your looking for an action packed film I suggest to look into this film preview and go watch. The acting is far from cheesy and considering its based on a true story it makes you think is WAR really worth it when and what difference has the USA made in the invasion of Afghanistan.

I will be watching a lot more movies this week and what to hear any opinions down below in the comment section if you have any suggestions on movies you think would be great to watch.

TRUE Detectives

Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson star as Rust Cohle and Martin Hart, two Louisiana detectives whose lives collide and entwine during a 17-year hunt for a killer. The investigation of a bizarre murder in 1995 is framed and interlaced with the testimony and story of the detectives in 2012, when the case is reopened.

Matthew McConauhey has not been disappointing in his latest role such as the hunger games 2 and is sure to have another great run in True Detectives.

This blog won't be about me talking about the show.  I have not seen it yet, the previews do have me hooked already though.  I will be posting comments from "IMDB" and you might want to take a look when you have a break from work or on reading week.

Top Comments:

"After just watching tonight's series premiere episode of "True Detective" on HBO, I can already tell this is going to be a fantastic show. It kept me interested and almost forced my attention the entire hour. It is already beginning to build a complex plot so make sure to pay attention to the details. All the elements of a brilliant show are at hand here. The writing, the acting, the scenery, the plot. Everything, from what I have seen so far, is amazing. The show has this dark, eerie feel to it which I love. McConaughey and Harrelson deliver great performances. Do not watch if you aren't into complex plots. But otherwise, I strongly suggest giving this one a go."

"This show is NOT just a regular cop drama or a clichéd murder mystery. It is much much more and has already proved so in the first episode. Much is expected from it and the future looks bright for True Detective."

"Wow. That is seriously all I can say after watching the first episode. The episode is amazing. Will definitely be tuning in again and so will you. Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey do a great job. The script is very well written and drives the story hard. This show is all about the story. It has the feel of a mini series not a TV show so it will be interesting to see where it goes. But it is one powerful script that is acted out great. This is the first 10/10 I think I have given on IMDb. Once you watch it you will know why. I will be shocked it this show does not win awards. It may be the best show on HBO now and I would say it's up there with orphan black with it's ability to grab your attention and keep you glued"

FROZEN? A Walt Disney Piece of ART

Walt Disney created a story which brought life to the screen. The effort was to create a musical and dialog to make audience laugh through out the night of the screening. It was a good and creative story where young kids, mid teens, to late twenty's and Older Adults can enjoy every scene of the film from start to finish.

The characters were interesting along with great effects to add to the story and culture of Walt Disney's creative story process.  There wasn't a scene that did not belong or could of been left out.

The Story did not drag on and always kept moving keeping the viewers glued to the screen.  The rating on IMDB and comments also prove why Walt Disney movie goers will have this movie apart of them for a very long time.

All in all Frozen is one for the books to see in 2014.  It will touch many and make you route for the Princess to become good and knock off the evil inside of her.

Happy Tuesday!!

Movies and Shows of 2013/2014 to look out for

The Christmas break is over and we are now into 2014 where movies and television shows have been a big talk over the past few months with Oscar season coming up.

Lets start with the end of 2013 since its in the minds of most people who can go into 2014 with something to enjoy.  "Wolf on Wall Street" looks brilliant with another "Oscar" performance by Leonardo DiCaprio and "American Hustle" had a line up of Actors who were superb with a movie that was all dialog and no action.  The story and acting is all top notch so I suggest you go see it.

My favorite show which I enjoyed over the Christmas break was the "The Walking Dead".  Everyone has a different taste viewing television shows.  Season 4 of 'The Walking Dead" is engaging and very dramatic. I don't want to spoil the outcome so I recommend when not working or doing homework to watch this show on AMC or download!!

Happy Tuesday!!
